CiviCRM is a free and open source platform providing fund-raising, membership, event management, and communications capabilities to nonprofits around the world. If your organization is thinking about adopting or migrating to a new platform for CRM, membership management and/or donor management - this is a great opportunity to meet CiviCRM users and experts. We'll discuss how CiviCRM compares with commercial solutions, ways to "get" CiviCRM, options for support, migration, implementation costs and more.

After providing an overview of CiviCRM, we will showcase a specific, customized CiviCRM implementation for a membership organization.

Jeff Porter Speaker Photo Jeff Porter has been involved in non-profit technology and development since 2002 when his daughter Abby was diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Since that time, Jeff has established the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Colorado and helped expand the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (FPWR). Leveraging his technology background, Jeff has helped the PWS community increase awareness, improve donor relations, and raise more funds using technology solutions.

Lisa Rau is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Confluence (www.confluencecorp.com), a woman-owned software, design and consulting firm created specifically to assist nonprofits, foundations and associations with creative services, software, websites and consulting. She is active in the technology-for-nonprofits movement nationally. Since 2001, her DC and LA-based company has grown to provide direct support to more than 650 nonprofits in a wide variety of technology areas, from strategic technology consulting to CiviCRM, Salesforce or Luminate projects, to design and implementation of websites. Confluence specializes in providing commercial support to open source systems, including Content Management Systems (Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress) and Constituent Relationship Management System (Salesforce, Common Ground, CiviCRM).
